ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
- Create a positive, engaging experience that leaves visitors smiling.
- Handle customer inquiries both online and in-store with flair—offering solutions, ideas, and a little inspiration.
- Keep the shop and workspace looking fresh and inviting, whether that’s arranging furniture, textiles, artwork, or merchandise like a pro.
- Tackle customer issues swiftly and professionally—because no one likes a hiccup!
- Greet and assist shoppers with a friendly vibe, sharing all the juicy details about brands, ordering, styling tips, colour combos, fabrics, and how to care for their finds.
- And of course, be a great storyteller—effectively sharing our store’s mission, ethos, and unique design sense to make everyone feel right at home.
Creative Flair
- A master of concept boards who can transform customers’ visions into eye-catching visual stories—think mood boards, but with extra flair and a dash of magic.
- A textile junkie with a slight obsession—if fabrics make your heart skip a beat, you’re our person.
- A knack for visualizing dreamy spaces, conjuring up killer colour combos, and offering styling advice to our Koru tribe.
Social Media Management + Content Creation
- Develop and execute social media strategies to promote goods for sale in store, styling services and gifting.
- Plan and execute strategies to spotlight shop events and exciting collaborations.
Create eye-catching, scroll-stopping content that makes our feeds pop across all platforms. - Stay plugged into our social channels—respond to comments, engage with our online tribe, and keep the conversation lively.
- Be confident with Canva and social media tools to whip up killer content and promos.
- Craft captions that are as compelling and charming as our store itself—because great stories sell!
Store Upkeep + Weekly Tasks
- Keep the store sparkling and fresh—because a tidy space is a happy space.
- Handle opening and closing routines smoothly.
- Process cash and card payments seamlessly—making checkout a breeze for everyone.
About You
- Confident design skills that turn ideas into reality
- Retail experience, ideally in a shop, gallery, or interior design environment
- Genuine passion for furniture and textiles, especially Australian design
- Deep interest in interior styling and creating beautiful spaces
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook
- Photography skills are a bonus for capturing our style
- Willingness to work Saturdays as needed
- Enthusiastic team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Detail-oriented with top-notch organisational skills
- Previous POS system experience
This is a hands-on gig — so roll up those sleeves and dive right in! Expect a dash of customer charm, a flair for keeping the showroom looking fresh, fabulous, and flawless and to be a whiz on our POS system - so you can roll solo and keep everything running smoothly.
